“ Schlafly Bottleworks in Maplewood is back in full swing with its brewery tours, and it's the perfect time to experience everything this iconic St. Louis establishment has to offer. We recently took the tour, sampled some of their incredible beers, and had an absolute blast! The guided tour is a fascinating dive into Schlafly's brewing process and the history of the brewery. Schlafly, founded in 1991, was the first brewery to open in St. Louis after Prohibition--a trailblazer in the craft beer movement. Our tour ended with a generous sampling of their signature beers. What are you into? IPAs, rich stouts, or refreshing ales? There's something for you and they will find it. Keep an eye out for these guys. Schlafly is known for its seasonal brews, like their Pumpkin Ale in the fall and Kolsch for the summer, which are beloved by fans across the country. “ Great visit! We sat at the bar and ordered drinks, a pretzel and some to-go pizzas. The service was 10/10. And the pretzel was AMAZING. My husband really enjoyed the beers he tried. We'll definitely be back! ”
“ I used to go to Bottleworks a lot until I started going to tap room because I like the food menu more at tap room. I recently went to the Full Moon Festival and it was SO good!! The ambiance is so cute with fireplaces, live music and beer everywhere. I tried the seasonal pumpkin beers and even the pumpkin latte samples. The food was very good. We tried the pulled pork sandwich, pretzels and cheese ( my fav) and mac and cheese. Such a cute night and I look forward to more events at Bottleworks. ”
“ I attended Schlafly's Full Moon Festival and they had a live band, fire pits and the whole parking lot blocked off with additional outside seating and beer trucks. I tried their White Lager and the Kolsch and preferred the White Lager. I also tried their pretzels, bbq pulled pork sandwich and mac and cheese. The pretzels were so soft and I loved how much cheese came with it. The Mac and cheese and pulled pork sandwich was a bit dry. Overall we had a great time, it was also dog friendly! ”
“ Enjoyed a trivia night out on the Bottleworks patio. We ordered inside at the bar. I ordered the raspberry beer and shared the buffalo pizza. Bartenders were pretty busy with the inside tables and trivia goers. They gave us samples and helped other customers. Overall quick service and the pizza was tasty. The patio was a great way to enjoy the day. I would recommend this location and will note there are events that happen out in the parking lot as well to keep an eye out for. ”
“ Quite large place between the outside seating and a couple of large rooms inside. Clearly a lot of focus around different beers and cider. Despite being able to seat hundreds of people, our service was pretty quick. Food consists of generally German food such as like pretzels, cheese curds, beer bread, reuben, bratwurst (with an option for curry), flatbread pizzas, jagerschnitzel, and shepherd's pie. The sticky toffee pudding for dessert was big enough for 3 of us. The food was decent, but not enough for me to rate this a 5. For all 3 of us, we thought it was good. ”
“ I went just to try one beer. Had the pumpkin ale and it was absolutely delicious and smooth. I hadn't fully explored the building, but I did like the atmosphere. ”
“ We arrived for lunch right when they opened at 11am. There was 10 of us in our party. We wanted to sit together out on the patio but taste of Maplewood was happening so they wouldn't put any tables together out there. We were seated at the end of the bar up on the stage. A few things have changed since I was here last. They added seating, moved the desk and added pretty decor. Our server was great, we always have a wonderful experience here. Food was all fantastic I love how versatile this establishment is. You can bring the whole family here., or chill with friends. ”
